Poetry in Paint: A Decade of Gouache

I'm pleased to introduce you to my new artbook, "Poetry in Paint," which showcases ten years of my work with gouache. These 230 pages represent countless hours of painting, both in the studio and outdoors.

This catalog includes a wide variety of subjects: seascapes, landscapes, floral still lifes, figures, quick plein air sketches, and portraits of animals. Each piece reflects a moment or a scene that caught my eye and inspired me to paint. Some are from my travels, others from my daily life. Together, they form a visual diary of the past decade, showing how my style and interests have evolved over time.

Printed in a matte hardcover with ImageWrap, this 230-page catalog features premium lustre photo paper with a thick 148 GSM gloss finish, ensuring vibrant colors and exceptional durability.

Outdoor Painting

Many of the works in this catalog were created outdoors, directly in front of the subject. Plein air painting allows me to capture the changing light and atmosphere of a place in real-time. These pieces often have a spontaneous quality that comes from working quickly on location. You'll find landscapes from various seasons and times of day, each with its own unique mood and color palette. Plein air work has taught me to observe closely and make quick decisions, skills that influence all my paintings.

Studio Work

The studio paintings in this catalog gave me the opportunity to work on more complex compositions and explore subjects in greater depth. Here, you'll find detailed still lifes of objects that hold personal meaning, figurative works exploring the human form, and landscapes based on sketches and memories from my outdoor sessions. The controlled environment of the studio allows for more intricate work and experimentation with technique, resulting in pieces that complement the spontaneity of the plein air studies.
